Please keep in mind that prices listed along
with the items are SINGLE ITEM prices that exclude packing,
shipping/handling, any third party (Paypal) and/or bank charges
and taxes, if any.
Factors that affect the final price that
you will have to pay are listed below. You are expected to
read them before ordering:
1. Item
As is logical, the first factor is the item itself. This factor
is what you will decide with your selection on this website.
Please note that you may qualify for a discount (point 4)
depending on the size of your order. You do not have to specifically
ask for it. We provide discounts automatically. As a rule
of thumb, the economy of scale brings down our costs of production
and we do not hesitate to share the decrease in costs with
our customers. So the best is to inquire about the order of
your interest.
2. Packing/handling consideration
Not all items require the same kind of packing. Remember,
salt rock is brittle in nature. This means that it can crack
(just like glass would) with jerks (like that of a fall).
In fact the result of such a damage is akin to that of glass.
The effected portion becomes opaque and white, with possible
cracks in the whole stuff. The packing of the items therefore
has to consider any odds of handling.
3. Shipping
Unfortunately for an otherwise cheaper item, the weight considerations
tend to increase the cost multifold. It is imperative to note
that shipping can be of two types; via air by a courier
service or via sea. The advantage of the former is
speedy delivery while the advantage of the later is much cheaper
costs.
However, sea cargo has to comply to a certain minimum before
being accepted. Feasibilty wise, the cargo/consignment size
should at least be 1 Stere (Cubic Meter). To get an idea,
know that around 200 - 225 3
Kg Tear Drop (SE-LTE03-WEU1) type lamps can be packaged
within this volume. Buying only one such lamp through a courier
like FedEx to a destination like USA might be equivalent to
buying 7 - 8 such lamps with the 1CM order through sea!
It is imperative to note that while a courier delivers to
your doorstep, in case of transfer by sea, you will most probably
have to pick your consignment from the port of your choice
after clearing up with custom requirements.
If your order is less than (or much smaller than) 1CM, we
will be sending it to you via courier. We prefer FedEx over
others. However, you can choose among FedEx, UPS, TNT, TCS,
DHL and the GPO (General Post Office). While GPO might be
the cheapest, our customers did not have good experience with
it. UPS is the costliest of the options. You can check the
FedEx International Priority Parcel
Rates List to have an idea for the shipping costs from
here to most of the destinations worldwide.
4. Discount
Please note that an order size of at least 50 Kg for the same
kind of lamp can qualify for a discount. Depending on how
big is your order, your discount can be equally big. Note
that the discount applies to the list per item prices. All
the other factors are charged to the actuals.
5. Paypal/Bank Fees
Paypal charges a maximum of 3.4% of the total invoice value
as its order processing fee plus a per order charge of US
$0.35. In case you do not wish to pay via Paypal, we accept
Telegraphic Transfer to our bank account. However, in that
case, you will require to pay the bank charges that will be
applied at our bank.
